Hull College Launches £5m Greenwave Energy Training Centre
Hull College is set to open a £5m training center, Greenwave, in September, focused on renewable energy technologies. This initiative, supported by 29 industry partners, aims to address the growing demand for skilled workers in the low-carbon economy.

Greenwave, a £5m green energy training centre, will open in September at Hull College's city centre campus. Funded by the UK Government's Levelling Up fund, it will include training on renewable energy, heat pumps, hydrogen technologies, and sustainable construction.
The college already offers over 145 green skills courses and has trained over 2,700 learners in the past year. This facility aims to align education with industry needs in the Humber region, where demand for skilled workers is increasing. The investment is expected to strengthen the local economy and enhance workforce capabilities in green energy sectors.
