Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors launched the MobED Alliance at the 2026 Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition in Seoul, aimed at providing customized robotics solutions. The MobED platform features a unique wheeled drive system with four independent DnL mechanisms, allowing for adaptability to various terrains.

The alliance includes Hyundai’s Robotics Lab, ten parts suppliers, and five robotics solution firms, collaborating to deliver complete solutions rather than just the MobED platform. The initiative aims to strengthen the domestic robotics industry's competitiveness, with plans to showcase MobED's capabilities through a large experience booth at the exhibition.
