IIT-Madras Establishes Arvind Raghunathan Centre for Theoretical Computer Science
IIT-Madras has named a new Centre for Theoretical Computer Science after alumnus Arvind Raghunathan, co-founder of Roc360. The Arvind Raghunathan Centre for Theoretical Computer Science (ARtCS) aims to enhance mathematical foundations in computer science and support curiosity-driven research. Raghunathan's contributions will provide students access to world-class resources. The centre will focus on key areas including cryptography, algorithms, and quantum computing.

IIT-Madras announced the establishment of the Arvind Raghunathan Centre for Theoretical Computer Science (ARtCS), named after alumnus Arvind Raghunathan. This initiative aims to advance the mathematical foundations of computer science through research and education.
The centre will focus on areas like cryptography, computational complexity, and quantum computing. Raghunathan's contributions will enhance IIT and India's role in theoretical computer science, supporting students at various academic levels.
The centre will be inaugurated by Prof. V. Kamakoti and is backed by a distinguished advisory board.
