IKM Testing Secures Contract for Northern Endurance CO₂ Transport and Storage Project in England
IKM Testing UK has been awarded a contract for pre-commissioning services on the Northern Endurance Partnership carbon capture project in eastern England. Under main contractor Saipem, IKM will prepare CO₂ transport and storage systems linking industrial emitters in Teesside and Humber to North Sea storage sites. The project is part of the UK's East Coast Cluster, with operations expected to start in 2028 and capacity to store up to 100 million tons of CO₂ over 25 years.

IKM Testing UK has been awarded a contract to provide pre-commissioning services for pipeline infrastructure on the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) carbon capture and storage project in eastern England. The company will work under Saipem to prepare CO₂ transport and storage systems connecting Teesside and Humber industrial emitters to offshore storage sites in the North Sea.
The project is a key component of the UK's East Coast Cluster. IKM's scope includes pipeline flooding, cleaning, gauging, and hydrotesting to ensure systems are ready for CO₂ injection. The NEP aims to transport emissions from carbon-intensive regions to geological storage beneath the North Sea, with initial storage expected to commence in 2028 and capacity for 100 million tons of CO₂ over 25 years.
