India and Finland Elevate Bilateral Relations to Strategic Partnership in Digitalization and Sustainability
India and Finland have formalized a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing collaboration in digitalization and sustainability. During talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finnish President Alexander Stubb, several agreements were signed, including a Migration and Mobility Partnership to facilitate the movement of skilled professionals.
Both nations aim to double bilateral trade to $2.6 billion by 2030, supported by the India-EU Free Trade Agreement. Key areas of cooperation will include AI, 6G telecommunications, clean energy, and quantum computing.
A Joint Working Group on digitalization and a Task Force on 6G will promote research and innovation. The partnership underscores a commitment to sustainable development and deepening economic ties.
