Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced plans for five new nuclear reactors to be operational by 2030, aiming for 100 GW of nuclear power capacity. The SHANTI Act has established a framework for this initiative, reflecting India's drive for energy security and self-reliance.
Additionally, India has achieved 100% railway electrification, drastically reducing diesel dependence. Over the past decade, India's defense production has increased nearly fourfold, and electronics manufacturing has seen a sevenfold expansion.
The government has improved public amenities significantly, providing gas connections at six times the previous speed and increasing housing construction for underprivileged populations.
