The funding includes the construction of new traction substations and enhancements to existing power supply systems, transitioning from an 11 KV to a 33 KV system. Additionally, Rs 223.58 crore has been allocated for the reconstruction of the Damodar Bridge, a key transport link, addressing structural issues in a bridge built in 1965 and 1903.

Continued investment in these projects reflects Indian Railways' commitment to modernizing infrastructure and improving passenger services.
