Indonesia and South Korea Collaborate on Green Energy from Palm Oil Waste
PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara is partnering with Hwasung Tech-Win Co. to convert palm oil waste into green energy products. This collaboration targets enhanced biomass utilization, addressing environmental challenges and meeting international carbon market standards.

PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara is collaborating with the South Korean consortium, including Hwasung Tech-Win Co., to transform palm oil processing waste into value-added products. This partnership, formalized in Jakarta, aims to utilize Empty Fruit Bunches and other biomass through advanced conversion technologies, enhancing economic opportunities and reducing environmental impact.
The initiative will establish localized thermal transformation units, converting agricultural byproducts into biopellets, biochar fertilizers, and biodiesel, thereby lowering greenhouse gas emissions and aligning with Indonesia's decarbonization objectives. Successful implementation could also create frameworks for carbon market credits and diversify revenue streams.
