Inner Moray Firth Food Producers Receive HIE Funding for Job Creation and Innovation
Food producers in Inner Moray Firth secure funding to create 15 new jobs and enhance operational efficiency through innovative projects.

Scot Live Shellfish and Nessgro have secured a combined £470,319 from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) to support major projects totaling approximately £1.56 million. Scot Live Shellfish is investing £900,000 in a new shellfish processing facility, enhancing capacity and efficiency.
The investment is expected to create 10 jobs in Alness. Meanwhile, Nessgro is investing £657,694 to implement advanced grading technology and automation, aiming to generate five new jobs and increase turnover. Both projects aim to improve operational resilience and support local economies while addressing ongoing labor challenges in the sector.
