Integration of 50MW Solar Plant into Utility Substation Requires Protection and Control Engineer
A distribution Protection and Control Engineer is sought for designing the integration of a 50MW solar plant into an existing utility substation, connected by two 10km 33kV overhead lines. The design must ensure stability and safety, considering fault contributions and bi-directional power flow.
Key inputs include utility drawings, protection requirements, SCADA signals, metering accuracy, and RTU capacity. The protection system design will involve short-circuit analysis, intertrip communication via fiber OPGW, and essential protection functions like Line Differential and Directional Overcurrent. Additionally, the SCADA integration will link the solar plant SCADA with the utility SCADA, confirming cybersecurity standards and updating the local Human Machine Interface.
