Intel and Shell Launch Certified Immersion Cooling Solution for Data Centers
Intel and Shell have developed a certified immersion cooling solution for 4th and 5th Gen Intel Xeon processors, enhancing data center efficiency. This collaboration addresses the demand for scalable and sustainable cooling in AI and HPC environments.

Intel has introduced an immersion cooling solution, validated for 4th and 5th Gen Xeon processors, in partnership with Shell Global Solutions and hardware from Supermicro and Submer. This solution, known as Intel Data Center Certified for Immersion Cooling, aims to set a new standard in cooling efficiency and performance, expected to dominate 36% of data center thermal management revenue by 2028.
The collaboration provides a Single-Phase Immersion Warranty Rider, ensuring the compatibility and reliability of immersion-cooled infrastructure. Future collaborations are planned to certify Intel processors with Shell fluids, potentially expanding this technology's application in high-performance computing.
