Invertek Drives Optidrive P2 Implements Quarry Processing Line in New South Wales
Invertek Drives has installed 25 Optidrive P2 variable frequency drives (VFDs) at a quarry in New South Wales, enhancing operational efficiency. This deployment supports a significant expansion and demonstrates the advantages of a centralized control system for future scalability.

The installation of 25 Optidrive P2 VFDs, including 24 IP20 units and one IP55 unit for a 200 kW extraction fan, was completed at a quarry processing line in New South Wales. This major expansion required a drive solution compatible with the quarry's PLC and SCADA systems.
The drives are in an environmentally controlled room with long cable runs to motors and include output chokes for reliability. Ethernet communication cards were fitted to facilitate integration with the control system. Future plans include a new processing line and replacing older drives in 2026, indicating potential for enhanced operational capabilities.
