The International Society of Automation (ISA) has published ANSI/ISA-112.00.01-2025, a standard that provides a framework for the lifecycle, diagrams, and terminology of SCADA systems. This standard facilitates the organization of SCADA system standards and enhances communication among end users, system integrators, and vendors. The ISA112 committee, initiated by experts from the oil, gas, pipeline, and municipal water sectors, has expanded to over 350 volunteers from various industries, focusing on simplifying the design, operation, and maintenance of SCADA systems.
