Jalo is raising €20 million for a negative-emissions facility in Almelo, aiming for total capital of €52.5 million. The project will produce 125,000 tonnes of sustainable pellets annually and capture 56,000 tonnes of CO₂.

Jalo's project in Almelo is expected to require total capital of €52.5 million, with €32.5 million from vendor financing, senior debt, and public support. The facility will generate approximately 125,000 tonnes of EN plus-grade pellets each year while capturing 56,000 tonnes of biogenic CO₂.
Long-term contracts for biomass supply and pellet offtake will be established, supported by the Dutch SDE++ scheme for revenue stability. This initiative aims to create a model for replicating negative-emissions energy plants throughout Europe, addressing energy needs and enhancing carbon removal. Successful engagement with investors is essential for the equity raise.
