The Polymer Alliance Zone facilitated meetings and tours, including a visit to the Somar facility, which opened in 2024. Local leaders emphasized the region's proximity to a significant portion of the U.S. population and its status as the leading natural gas producing basin, which offers lower energy costs for manufacturers. Local officials expect this visit to foster investment and job creation in the area.
