Jiaxing Port Inaugurates First Hydrogen Agriculture Demonstration Base in Yangtze River Delta
The first hydrogen agriculture demonstration base in the Yangtze River Delta was inaugurated in Jiaxing Port Area, highlighting advancements in hydrogen energy applications in agriculture. Dr. Zhang Yanfeng from the Shanghai Yangtze River Delta Hydrogen Energy Technology Research Institute emphasized hydrogen's role in addressing challenges in energy and fertilizer supply chains and its potential to enhance agricultural production and quality.

The first hydrogen agriculture demonstration base in the Yangtze River Delta was inaugurated in Jiaxing Port Area. This base represents progress in the application of hydrogen energy in agriculture. Dr.
Zhang Yanfeng, Director of the Shanghai Yangtze River Delta Hydrogen Energy Technology Research Institute, attended the event and unveiled the base plaque. He addressed the uncertainties in global energy, fertilizer supply, and logistics chains, highlighting the impact of energy price fluctuations on food security. Hydrogen energy, included in China's 15th Five-Year Plan, is positioned to support zero-carbon energy supply, electrification, and automation in agriculture, while potentially improving production and quality in farming.
