JISCO Launches First Integrated CSP® HSM Line in Jiayuguan with SMS Group Automation
JISCO Carbon Steel in Jiayuguan, China, has launched the world's first integrated CSP® HSM line, increasing its annual production capacity from 2 million to 4.5 million tons. The upgrade, completed with full automation from SMS group, enhances operational flexibility and ensures consistent quality through synchronized billet scheduling and rolling processes, all while maintaining ongoing production during installation.

On February 2, JISCO Carbon Steel in Jiayuguan, China, commenced production on the world's first integrated CSP® HSM line following an upgrade and expansion. This project increased annual capacity from 2 million to 4.5 million tons and enhanced operational flexibility, allowing rapid adaptation to changing product mixes.
SMS group provided full automation, enabling quick transitions between production routes and ensuring stable performance from the first coil rolled on December 30, 2025. The integrated X Pact automation synchronizes billet scheduling and rolling processes, ensuring consistent quality. The upgrade included a roller hearth tunnel furnace, reheating furnaces, and a fully automated coil transport system, all completed without disrupting CSP operations, thus safeguarding production throughout the installation.
