JM Electrical Marks 40 Years in Greater Boston’s Commercial Construction Industry
JM Electrical, founded in December 1985, celebrates 40 years in Greater Boston's commercial construction sector. Led by second-generation family members, the company has completed over 25,000 projects and employs more than 200 union electricians. Recognized as the 9th safest electrical contractor in the U.S. by NECA in 2025, JM Electrical emphasizes safety and innovation, with a new 16,000 s/f Innovation Center in Woburn. Recent projects include installations for Google and Moderna, among others.

JM Electrical is celebrating its 40th anniversary, having been founded in December 1985. The company, now led by Matthew and John Guarracino, has completed over 25,000 projects with more than 6 million man-hours of work.
It employs over 200 electricians from Local 103 IBEW. In 2025, JM Electrical was recognized by NECA as the 9th safest electrical contractor in the U.S. The company opened a 16,000 s/f Innovation Center in Woburn in 2022, enhancing its service efficiency. Recent projects include building automation systems for Cambridge Crossing and expansions for Google and Moderna.
