John Crane Validates Over 58,000 Assets for Predictive Maintenance in Saudi Arabia
John Crane has developed a comprehensive maintenance database for a Saudi gas storage facility, validating over 58,000 assets. This initiative, part of their Performance Plus™ framework, enhances operational reliability and supports predictive maintenance strategies.

John Crane has constructed a maintenance data set for a gas storage facility in Saudi Arabia, validating over 58,000 assets, far exceeding the original estimate of 24,000. This initiative utilized the Reliability Engineering for Maintenance module within the Performance Plus™ framework, facilitating the transition to predictive maintenance.
Challenges included incomplete documentation and missing records, which were addressed through on-site surveys and document indexing. The project culminated in a fully populated Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) that enhances asset visibility and operational efficiency. This foundational work is crucial for maintaining reliability and reducing downtime in future operations.
