JSW Motors and Tata IIS Collaborate on EV Training Program in Maharashtra
JSW Motors Limited signed an MoU with Tata Indian Institute of Skills on February 26, 2026, to create a technical training program for its electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The program, co-developed with Tata IIS, will focus on EV systems, automation, and advanced manufacturing skills. JSW Motors retains hiring control and curriculum validation rights. This collaboration aims to build a comprehensive skilling ecosystem, extending training to suppliers and dealers while establishing an in-house training academy.

This program focuses on EV systems, automation, welding, and advanced manufacturing.
JSW Motors will maintain control over hiring and curriculum validation. Tata IIS was selected based on its training infrastructure and OEM engagement. The collaboration aims to create a skilling ecosystem that includes training for suppliers and dealers, with plans for an in-house training academy as operations scale.
