Kalyani Ispat Ltd. has ordered a high-speed bar and wire rod mill from SMS group for its plant in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, India. The mill is designed for commissioning in Q3 2026 and will have an annual capacity of 500,000 metric tons.

It will produce rebar in diameters of 8 to 40 millimeters and wire rods from 5.5 to 20 millimeters. The design eliminates reheating furnaces, improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. Key features include a ten-pass finishing block, high-speed delivery system, and advanced automation technology, ensuring high production efficiency and quality.
