Kankakee Valley School Corporation Approves Spring Projects and Bus Purchases
The Kankakee Valley School Corporation has approved several projects for its schools, including HVAC upgrades, new buses, and facility improvements. A total of $1,730,000 was allocated for HVAC projects by Arctic Engineering. Five air brake buses will be purchased for $918,850. Additional contracts were approved for inspections, equipment purchases, and maintenance services.

The Kankakee Valley School Corporation board approved various spring projects totaling over $2.6 million. HVAC projects at the intermediate and middle schools were awarded to Arctic Engineering for $1,730,000.
Five air brake school buses will be purchased from Kerlin Bus Sales and Leasing for $918,850. Additional expenses include $3,421.40 for auditorium system inspections by Associated Controls and Designs and $7,365.30 for a new oven from Central Restaurant.
Other approvals include lawn care services for 2026, bathroom partitions, curtain cleaning, and building automation system upgrades, totaling over $40,000. Field trip requests were also approved.
