Kansas Communities Receive $11 Million for Water System Improvements
Seven communities in Kansas will benefit from over $11 million in federal funding for essential water infrastructure upgrades.

Seven Kansas communities have secured $11,018,000 from the USDA's Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program for water system enhancements. Key allocations include $420,000 for Stafford to install emergency generators at pumping facilities, $1 million grant and $3.5 million loan for Linn Valley to develop a new water transmission line and a 250,000-gallon water tower, and $813,000 grant and $3.684 million loan for Mankato to expand its water mains and improve fire safety. These investments aim to bolster public health and stimulate economic growth in rural areas, reflecting the USDA's ongoing commitment to improving infrastructure and supporting local communities.
