Katoni Completes Automated Pump Replacement and Pigging Facility Project for Chrysaor
Katoni has successfully executed engineering and procurement phases for Chrysaor, replacing manual diaphragm pumps with automated systems and establishing a pigging facility for flowlines. This project enhances operational efficiency and safety in fluid transport and monitoring.

Chrysaor initiated a project to replace manually operated diaphragm pumps on the CATS and North Everest Platforms with a permanent automated system. Katoni assessed that air-operated diaphragm pumps would not ensure adequate reliability and proposed a permanent manually operated solution instead.
Subsequently, Katoni managed the HAZOPS and completed the engineering phase on schedule, with no site queries reported. Additionally, Katoni developed new pig launcher and receiver units for the FPSO's 10" P1/P2 flowlines, performing extensive technical evaluations that led to a construction-ready design.
This proactive approach mitigated risks and ensured timely procurement of long-lead items. The project’s success demonstrates effective phase-gated engineering, enhancing operational integrity and safety for Chrysaor’s offshore operations.
