Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Launches Nationwide LTE-R Railway Network; Azerbaijan Develops New Energy Infrastructure
Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is set to establish a national LTE-R digital railway network, enhancing transport efficiency over 20,000 km. Concurrently, Azerbaijan is constructing a 35 kV substation to boost its energy infrastructure, with a focus on renewable energy sources.

Kazakhstan's national railway company, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), will deploy a unified LTE-R network across over 20,000 km of railway, enhancing real-time data transmission for improved transport management. This project, developed with Transtelecom, aims to create a SMART infrastructure for future railway technologies.
In Azerbaijan, the construction of a new 35 kV substation in Aghdara, valued at $2.3 million, is underway, focusing on modernizing energy infrastructure. The initiative supports Azerbaijan's strategy to increase renewable energy sources to approximately 43% of the energy balance by 2035, enhancing energy security and export capabilities. Both projects indicate significant advancements in transportation and energy sectors in their respective regions.
