KNL Secures Place in UK's $10B Defense Communications Framework
KNL has been selected for the UK Tactical Communication Systems Framework (RM6393), valued at $10 billion over eight years. This inclusion allows KNL to compete for contracts in a competitive defense market undergoing modernization, significant for both the UK and KNL's international expansion strategy.

KNL, a subsidiary of Telenor Group, has been selected for the UK Tactical Communication Systems Framework (RM6393), which encompasses an estimated total value of $10 billion over eight years. The framework provides a streamlined purchasing process for military radio and communications systems, with KNL admitted to Lot 2 (complete systems) valued at approximately $5.9 billion and Lot 3 (components) valued at around $915 million.
KNL specializes in HF software-defined radios designed for contested environments, offering advantages in resilience against electronic warfare. This strategic entry enables KNL to compete with established suppliers like Cobham and L3Harris, potentially impacting how British forces communicate in modern warfare scenarios. The first orders under this framework are anticipated within 12-18 months, reflecting the urgent need for updated tactical networking capabilities across the UK's armed forces.
