Lake Orion Village Council Supports Grant Applications for Sewer Pump Station Improvements
The Lake Orion Village Council adopted a resolution to support grant funding applications for phases two and three of the sanitary sewer pump station improvement project, seeking a total of $8,668,737. The project cost is estimated at $10,835,922, with a previous federal grant award of $1.75 million reducing the funding request. The village plans to submit applications for fiscal year 2027 funding to various state and federal representatives.

The village administration is submitting requests to State Rep. Donni Steele and Congresswoman McClain for fiscal year 2027 funding, as well as to U.S. Senators Elissa Slotkin and Gary Peters. As of now, the village has received nearly $700,000 of the initial grant.
