Latur Permits Diesel Supply to Hospitals in Approved Containers
Latur authorities have authorized diesel delivery in approved barrels and drums to healthcare facilities, enhancing fuel access. This decision follows requests from local associations, aimed at ensuring continuous medical operations amid fuel supply challenges.

Latur's administration has approved the supply of diesel in designated barrels and drums specifically for government and private hospitals. This directive was enacted after appeals from the Latur Petrol and Diesel Association and Indian Medical Association.
Licensed fuel pumps are authorized to distribute diesel only in containers approved by the Chief Controller of Explosives, while sales in unauthorized containers are prohibited. Operators must verify documentation from healthcare providers and keep accurate transaction records. Safety measures during fuel handling are mandated, and violations of the Petroleum Act may result in penalties.
