Launch of Edge Automation 1.0.3 Enhances Deployment Options
Edge Automation 1.0.3 introduces optimized deployment capabilities for edge computing environments, enhancing flexibility and efficiency. Key features include support for diverse edge topologies, localized container registries, and automated disk claiming processes.

Edge Automation 1.0.3 expands deployment options by optimizing the core framework for various edge topologies and integrating local container registries to reduce WAN bottlenecks. New enhancements include robust vSAN 2-node support for high availability and automated disk claiming for simplified datastore creation.
This version allows deployments of vSphere compute clusters without immediate supervisor services, facilitating a gradual rollout of VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS). Administrators can deploy a Harbor container registry at each edge location to enhance localized image access, improving bandwidth efficiency. The automation includes features for precise site targeting, automatic supervisor upgrades, and non-interactive authentication, streamlining edge deployments.
