Stratford-upon-Avon College has launched a heat pump training centre, supported by Lord Combustion Services, to advance skills in renewable heating. The facility aims to address regional skills shortages and support the West Midlands' transition to sustainable heating technologies.
Equipped with training rigs that simulate heat pump installations, the centre offers hands-on experience necessary for future employers. Funding was secured through the Local Skills Improvement Fund, with additional backing from the West Midlands Combined Authority. The collaboration emphasizes the importance of partnerships in developing industry-relevant training for emerging green sectors.
