LG Group and NVIDIA Form Strategic Partnership for AI Robotics and Factories
LG Group and NVIDIA signed a Memorandum of Understanding on August 13 to develop humanoid robots, AI factories, and mobility solutions. This collaboration aims to leverage NVIDIA's platforms, including Jetson Thor and Drive Hyperion, to enhance robotics and AI infrastructure, marking significant advancements in the AI industry.

LG Group and NVIDIA have established a strategic partnership, signing an MOU on August 13 to collaborate on humanoid robotics and AI factories. LG plans to unveil a bipedal humanoid robot, utilizing NVIDIA's Jetson Thor, in Q1 2027, while also deploying the CLOiD robot in its Tennessee factory for proof of concept this year.
The partnership includes building AI factories based on NVIDIA's Vera Rubin platform, with an 80MW facility planned in Cheonan by early 2028. LG aims to integrate its capabilities in cooling, batteries, and design with NVIDIA's AI architecture to promote global AI infrastructure solutions. The joint task force will enhance collaboration across R&D, testing, and commercialization, expanding opportunities in the mobility market through the development of AI-Defined Vehicle platforms.
