Lipton Inc. to Transform Dalton Gas Station into Convenience Store
Lipton Inc. is investing over $3 million to convert a vacant gas station on Main Street into Lipton Market, set to open in September or October 2024. The renovated site will feature eight fuel pumps, expanded parking, and a convenience store offering food services and a beer and wine license.

Lipton Inc. has acquired a long-vacant gas station in Dalton for $500,000, with plans to invest over $3 million in renovations. The gas station, set to reopen as Lipton Market in September or October 2024, will include eight fuel pumps and expanded parking facilities.
The project faced initial setbacks due to zoning issues but was approved after an appeal confirmed the site's previous fuel sales. The renovation will expand the building from 1,700 to 2,900 square feet, and the store will incorporate modern conveniences including self-checkout. Overall investment totals $3.3 million, combining renovation and purchase costs.
