LiVA Biotechnology and Dyson Farming Launch Commercial Pilot for Strawberry Protection
LiVA Biotechnology and Dyson Farming have advanced their partnership to a commercial-scale pilot aimed at enhancing the quality of British strawberries. This initiative follows successful trials in winter 2025-26, demonstrating LiVA's prebiotic bio-protection technology that preserves fruit quality throughout the supply chain.

LiVA Biotechnology and Dyson Farming are initiating a commercial pilot to implement LiVA's prebiotic bio-protection technology during the 2026 winter strawberry season. The recent trial confirmed that strawberries treated with LiVA maintained premium quality from the field to retail, avoiding markdowns and reducing food waste.
Treated fruit delivered twice the proportion of harvest-fresh quality by day six post-harvest compared to untreated samples. The integration of LiVA with automation aims to enhance handling efficiency and minimize waste, using a natural solution instead of chemicals. The pilot will test this approach within Dyson Farming's existing low-intervention practices, promising to support sustainability and premium product standards.
