Luxembourg Launches €150M National Defence Fund to Enhance Defence Sector
Luxembourg's National Defence Fund (FND) will allocate €150 million to bolster domestic defence industries and attract new investments. This initiative is crucial for meeting NATO's defence spending commitments and fostering innovation in the sector.

The National Defence Fund (FND) in Luxembourg will be financed with €150 million, split equally between the state and the state-owned investment bank SNCI. The SNCI will manage the fund, focusing on sectors like cybersecurity, space, advanced materials, and automation to support domestic companies and attract new business.
Investment decisions will be governed by an investment committee, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. This fund is part of Luxembourg's commitment to increase defence spending to 5% of Gross National Income (GNI) in accordance with NATO objectives. The FND is expected to create skilled jobs and enhance the country's economic resilience through strategic investments in technology.
