Madhya Pradesh Horticulture Mission Empowers Bhopal Farmer with Modern Technology
Kushwaha, a farmer from Bhopal, improved his income through the state's Horticulture Development Mission. With financial support, he built a 1,000 sq ft polyhouse and installed a sensor-based automation system to enhance flower production. He planted 30,000 hybrid gerbera plants and adopted irrigation systems with a 50% subsidy. Now producing 1,500 to 2,000 flowers daily, he earns 4,000 to 5,000 rupees per day, showcasing the impact of government support and modern farming techniques.

Kushwaha, a farmer from Barkheda Bondar village in Bhopal, benefited from the Madhya Pradesh Horticulture Development Mission, which provided financial support enabling him to build a 1,000 sq ft polyhouse and cultivate flowers. This year, he implemented a sensor-based automation system for efficient water, fertilizer, and pesticide management.
Over the last few years, he planted 30,000 hybrid gerbera plants and utilized drip and sprinkler irrigation with a 50% subsidy. Currently, he produces 1,500 to 2,000 flowers daily and earns between 4,000 and 5,000 rupees per day, highlighting the transformative impact of modern agricultural practices and government initiatives.
