Maharashtra Government Signs 19 MoUs Worth Rs 14.5 Lakh Crore at WEF 2026
The Maharashtra government signed 19 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, committing to investments totaling Rs 14.5 lakh crore and aiming to create over 15 lakh jobs. These agreements, which include substantial commitments from global companies, highlight strong investor interest in the state's market potential and align with the 'Viksit Maharashtra 2047' vision focused on advancing sectors like AI, Quantum Computing, and Green Energy.

The Maharashtra government signed 19 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on the first day of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, committing to investments of Rs 14.5 lakh crore and projected to create over 15 lakh jobs. These agreements span various sectors and reflect strong global confidence in Maharashtra's market potential.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reported significant investor interest, particularly in the development of 'third Mumbai.' High-level meetings were held with global companies including Coca-Cola, Antora Energy, and Brookfield.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) signed MoUs worth approximately 11 lakh crore rupees. Future discussions will focus on AI, Quantum Computing, Fintech, and Green Energy as part of the state's 'Viksit Maharashtra 2047' vision and its goal of achieving a five trillion-dollar economy.
