The Slovak cabinet has designated the Malinec-Latky pumped-storage hydro-electric power plant project as a significant investment. This decision, announced during a session on February 11, is supported by the Environment Ministry due to critical time constraints.

An estimated €60 million is allocated for the preparation of the hydro-electric power plant. Environment Minister Tomas Taraba will issue a certificate of significant investment within two weeks.
