Manchester City and Xylem Launch Rainmakers YouTube Series for Water Sustainability Initiatives
Manchester City and Xylem have launched the Rainmakers YouTube series on World Water Day, showcasing their collaboration on a rainwater-capturing pitch in Teotihuacan, Mexico. The project, supported by a solar-powered Xylem S1-200 water pump, aims to create a sustainable water resource for the community and enhance access to football. The partnership highlights water sustainability efforts, achieving 100% water self-sufficiency at the City Football Academy in Manchester and saving approximately 100 million litres of potable water in two years.

Manchester City and Xylem have launched the Rainmakers YouTube series to highlight their collaboration on a rainwater-capturing pitch in Teotihuacan, Mexico. This initiative provides a sustainable water resource for the community, equipped with a solar-powered Xylem S1-200 pump, capable of pumping over 27,000 litres daily.
The partnership has achieved 100% water self-sufficiency for pitch irrigation at the City Football Academy, saving approximately 100 million litres of potable water over two years. The Rainmakers series aims to educate communities on water sustainability while the Every Drop Counts campaign furthers awareness of responsible water use.
