Maola Newport News has optimized processing capabilities and expanded its product line, including whole and 2% milk for schools. These improvements are critical as the facility supports government and military supply chains while advancing operational safety and efficiency.

The Maola Newport News plant in Virginia has successfully upgraded its operational efficiencies, processing a range of milk products including whole and 2% for schools. The facility, established in 1962, now employs 150 team members and utilizes HTST (high-temperature short-time) pasteurization to maintain product quality.
Ongoing innovations, such as a new blow mold process, allow for the production of 1.5 million bottles monthly, enhancing supply capabilities for military and government clients. Recent installations, including automated fillers and mixed-proof valves, bolster production efficiency and safety.
The plant has achieved a zero total incident rate, reflecting its commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement. These advancements position Maola as a key supplier in the evolving dairy market.
