MEA Energy has opened its inaugural retail filling station in Lagos as part of a broader plan to establish 250 outlets nationwide, targeting the creation of 3,000 jobs within the next five years. The Lagos station, located on Itokin Road in Ikorodu, is intended to enhance customer access to fuel services while employing local residents from host communities.
The company plans to implement a smart filling station model, integrating automation and digital technology with customer-focused services. MEA Energy's strategy includes self-service fuel pumps and a digital fuel wallet solution to ensure accurate measurements and increase customer confidence. Market research identified Ikorodu as a prime location for the first outlet, which will also include a convenience store with essential goods.
