Merrist Wood College has completed a 1,120 m² state-of-the-art Venlo glasshouse project, aimed at enhancing horticultural training. This facility features advanced climate technology, including an Air Source Heat Pump system, integrated rainwater harvesting, and automated control through a Tomtech T200 system.
The greenhouse consists of a freestanding structure with four growing zones, complemented by a multi-compartment ancillary building designed for thermal efficiency. The project aligns with commercial horticultural practices, providing students with practical experience on industry-standard equipment. The facility's sustainability measures and modern design position it as a vital educational asset for future horticultural professionals.
