The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) approved agreements with Consumers Energy and DTE Energy to enhance energy efficiency initiatives from 2026 to 2029. The agreements focus on reducing energy costs for Michiganders, especially low-income families, by improving home insulation, offering rebates for efficient heating and cooling systems, and promoting cleaner technologies like heat pumps.
