Milkywire has finalized $5 million in carbon removal pre-purchase agreements with Salesforce, involving 19 suppliers and various technologies aimed at early-stage carbon removal pathways. This initiative is part of Salesforce's commitment as a founding member of the First Movers Coalition to procure $100 million in CO2 removal solutions by 2030.

The agreements support diverse removal methods, including biochar, BioCCS, next-generation direct air capture, enhanced rock weathering, biomass storage, and mineralization. The selected projects, which include companies like Kairos Carbon, Norma, Arbon, and Flux, also provide co-benefits such as improved soil health and local economic development. The collaboration emphasizes investment in innovative carbon removal technologies to achieve significant long-term climate impacts.
