Mossel Bay Infrastructure Director 'Superman' Naidoo to Retire in October
Dick Soundrajan Naidoo, Mossel Bay's Director of Infrastructure Services, will retire at the end of October after 20 years in the role. His retirement comes as a result of a desire for improved work-life balance and family time.

Dick Soundrajan Naidoo, known as 'Superman,' will retire from his position as Director of Infrastructure Services for Mossel Bay Municipality at the end of October. Naidoo began his career in KwaDukuza and joined the Mossel Bay team in December 2004, holding leadership roles in electrical and infrastructure services.
His tenure includes overseeing multiple key projects such as a desalination plant, wastewater reclamation, and the enhancement of basic services in informal settlements. Naidoo cites the need for family time and a better quality of life as motivations for his early retirement.
He will remain a resident of Mossel Bay and believes the incoming director will find a well-managed department. Naidoo's departure has garnered recognition from municipal officials across party lines, underlining his contributions.
