MSC Negotiates Acquisition of Jobson Italia for Enhanced Fleet Maintenance
MSC's planned acquisition of Jobson Italia aims to bolster operational sovereignty and fleet efficiency. The investment aligns with MSC's strategy to integrate logistics and reduce external dependencies, enhancing the maintenance of its extensive fleet.

MSC is negotiating to acquire Jobson Italia, a company specializing in marine engine maintenance and repairs, for an estimated 20-30 million euros. This acquisition is part of MSC's broader strategy to enhance operational control and efficiency, with Jobson's 113.5 million euros in revenue and 6 million euros in EBITDA providing critical in-house mechanical expertise.
This move follows MSC's recent expansions, including a 50% acquisition of Italo in high-speed rail and the integration of Bolloré Africa Logistics. The company aims for net-zero emissions by 2050, necessitating advanced engineering and predictive maintenance capabilities. MSC's global revenue is reported to be nearing 100 billion dollars with an EBITDA of 25-30 billion dollars.
