NATO Launches DIANA Accelerator in Krakow for Defense Innovation
NATO has established the DIANA accelerator in Poland, hosting ten test centers and the NATO Innovation Fund. This initiative aims to enhance technological innovation critical for modern warfare and defense capabilities among member states.

The NATO DIANA accelerator in Krakow is set to advance defense technologies through collaboration with seven selected startups from the U.S. and Europe, focusing on dual-use deep tech innovations. Over six months, these teams will engage in mentoring, expert support, and testing infrastructure to refine their technical and business skills, ensuring readiness for product development and market scaling.
Key areas of development include autonomous systems for detecting aerial threats and navigation without GPS, integrating various sensor technologies, and counter-drone solutions. The program addresses the growing complexity of modern warfare, emphasizing rapid innovation cycles and agile development to meet evolving military needs.
