NCC to Build High-Voltage Substation in Zealand for Energinet
NCC has secured a SEK 190 million contract from Energinet to construct a 400 kV substation in Zealand, Denmark. This project is crucial for enhancing the Danish transmission grid to accommodate increased renewable energy capacity.

NCC will commence work on a 400 kV air-insulated switchgear (AIS) substation at Ringsbjerg in Zealand, Denmark, with operations starting after summer 2026. The project, valued at approximately SEK 190 million, focuses on expanding the substation at Bjäverskov and includes earthworks, foundation, and installation.
The completion is expected in 2029, contributing to the transition towards electrification and supporting the green energy initiative. This infrastructure development will enhance the capacity for renewable energy transport and is part of Denmark's broader strategy to expand the electricity grid to meet future demands.
