NCMT Introduces Makino a800Z at MACH 2026 for High-Precision Machining
NCMT will showcase the Makino a800Z, a five-axis horizontal machining center, at MACH 2026 from April 20-24. This machine is designed for high-precision machining of large components, enhancing productivity and accuracy in manufacturing sectors.

The Makino a800Z features a twin-pallet system with 800mm square pallets, accommodating workpieces up to 2,000kg. It offers X, Y, and Z travels of 1,280 x 1,200 x 1,325mm, combined with a five-axis configuration for complex machining.
Rapid traverse rates of 60m/min enable high metal removal and reduced cycle times. The machine supports spindle speeds up to 15,000rev/min and incorporates a thermal-stabilised structure for accuracy during long runs.
Chip evacuation is optimized through sloped panels and a conveyor system. The a800Z is equipped with eSTABILISER for ambient temperature compensation and supports over 200 tools for diverse production needs. Automation compatibility enhances its application in high-mix environments.
