Nebraska Legislation Enhances NioCorp's Tax Incentive Flexibility for Elk Creek Project
Nebraska has enacted a law providing NioCorp Developments with up to $200 million in tax incentives over ten years, contingent on job creation and investment commitments. The Elk Creek Project is projected to generate approximately 450 permanent jobs and significant tax revenue for the state.

Nebraska's new law, signed by Governor Jim Pillen on April 16, 2026, allows NioCorp Developments Ltd. greater flexibility to qualify for up to $200 million in state tax benefits. In exchange, NioCorp is expected to create around 450 full-time jobs and invest hundreds of millions in Nebraska.
The Elk Creek Project, which aims to produce critical minerals including niobium, scandium, and titanium, is also anticipated to generate substantial tax revenue and support an additional 2,100 jobs in the broader economy. The legislative support highlights Nebraska's commitment to attracting businesses that contribute to long-term economic growth.
