New Aluminium Projects in China Launch Production and Capacity Expansion
Chongqing Gaofeng New Material Technology Co., Ltd. will commence production of 250,000 t/year of aluminium products by August 2026, split between two phases. Additionally, Quantum Digital New Materials Co., Ltd. has begun production of 150,000 tons of rare earth aluminium alloy, significantly reducing costs and energy consumption.

Chongqing Gaofeng New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is set to initiate production of 250,000 tons annually of aluminium products by late August 2026, divided into two phases—150,000 tons for Phase I and 100,000 tons for Phase II. Quantum Digital New Materials Co., Ltd. commenced production on August 10, 2026, for 150,000 tons of rare earth aluminium alloy, utilizing advanced technologies that lower energy consumption by 30% to 40% and achieve a metal recovery rate exceeding 95%.
The Hengshihui project, with an investment of 227 million yuan, aims to create a modern industrial base for high-end aluminium products. These developments indicate a significant expansion in China's aluminium production capabilities, which may impact global supply chains.
